Elijah Turns Two
Elijah turned 2 years old on Saturday. He is certainly acting his age. :) The words he uses the most are "mine" and "NO". He also likes to point to pictures of himself and say "Me". He's a fun kid to have around and highly entertaining. :) For his birthday we celebrated by going to Grandma and Grandpa's for supper and swimming. The kids love to splash and play in the pond with their cousins! Unfortunately I didn't do a very good job of taking pictures, but here are a couple of Elijah with his semi cake. I made one side for him and the other side for his cousin Elliot's 1st birthday.

Flooded
This morning we had 5 1/2 inches of rain in addition to the rain we had earlier in the week. As you can see from my pictures we are very soggy!
The creek at the bottom of the hill is out, closing our gravel road and Hwy. 92 as well. Since the road is flooded most people turn just around in our driveway, but we a few teenagers attempted to make it across this evening and ended up stalling out. Remember folks, "turn around, don't drown!" :)
My garden is slightly lower than my yard, which created a another pond in our yard.
Ethan riding bike through the ditch. The water was knee high at the deep end.
We had a couple errands to run in town and a birthday party for my niece and this is what we came home to! BUMMER!!!! The carpet, couches, toys... all full of water. From what I hear we're not the only ones with water in the basement. What a mess!
I thought tile inlets were supposed to drain water out of bean fields not fill them up. Glad this guy isn't our field. :)

Elijah
Saturday afternoon we went to my parents for a little birthday party for Elijah. We had hoped to spend the afternoon fishing but it looked like rain so we just hung out in the machine shed. When Mark and I headed to Monroe to get pizza we met a convoy of government storm chasers about five miles long! I felt like I was in the movie Twister! :) This made me feel a little nervous about being in the machine shed during such questionable weather. :) We ended up getting a HUGE downpour, thankfully with no tornadoes. :) I didn't take much for pictures, but you can see a few more on my facebook page from my sister if you like.

Ethan rode in his first motocross race on Monday! He was so excited to get up early and go to the race! Here are a few pictures from our day.
